Zina Chernowas, a dedicated leader, facilitator, advocate, and builder, brings over 15 years of experience to the North Shore Restorative Justice Board. Specializing in addressing complex trauma and rebuilding human capacity, she is committed to healing society through meaningful relationships. Currently serving as the Interim Director of The Salvation Army Illuminate, she passionately promotes social justice education, applying anti-oppression frameworks and Survivor leadership principles to combat Modern Day Slavery. Zina's background as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Certified Leadership Coach has equipped her to work directly with Human Trafficked and Exploited Survivors, guiding them through the complexities of justice and recovery.
