Kaile has worked for decades at the intersection of creativity, storytelling, healing, education, and justice reform, and is deeply committed to the idea that there’s no better tool than the practice of arts to create community, understanding, and transformation. In addition to her own writing, she teaches creative writing at Mission Institute, and works as a nonprofit consultant supporting organizational capacity for social justice organizations, particularly those engaged in restorative justice practices.
NSRJ honours the Elders and Knowledge Holders, past, present and future, and acknowledges with gratitude that our work takes place in communities situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations.
